Refund Policy
At Book Publishing Assistant UK, we are committed to providing professional publishing services with transparency, fairness, and high standards of customer service. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may be requested and considered.
By purchasing our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy.
1. General Policy
Our services involve professional consultation, creative work, digital production, and customised publishing services. As many of our services are tailored specifically to each client, refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the progress of the project and the work already completed.
2. Eligibility for Refunds
Refund requests may be considered where:
- A project has not yet commenced and no work has been carried out.
- A duplicate payment has been made in error.
- We are unable to provide the agreed service.
- A refund is required under applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@bookpublishingassistant.co.uk.
3. Personalised & Digital Services
Many of our services are bespoke and created specifically for each client. These include, but are not limited to:
- Editing Services
- Proofreading Services
- Book Formatting
- Cover Design
- Illustration Services
- Ghostwriting
- Publishing Assistance
- Marketing Services
- Author Website Development
- Custom Graphic Design
- Consultation Services
Where work has commenced or digital deliverables have been provided, refunds may not be available because the services are personalised and cannot be resold.
Where applicable, by requesting immediate commencement of digital services, you acknowledge that you may lose any statutory cancellation rights once work has begun.
4. Work in Progress
If a refund request is made after a project has started but before completion, we may assess whether a partial refund is appropriate based on:
- Work completed
- Project stage
- Time and resources allocated
- Deliverables already provided
Any approved refund may be reduced to reflect the value of the work already completed.
5. Client Delays and Inactive Projects
Clients are responsible for providing the necessary materials, approvals, revisions, and feedback required to progress their project.
Projects with no written communication for forty-five (45) consecutive days may be placed on hold and considered inactive.
Inactive or abandoned projects are not eligible for a refund. A reactivation fee may apply if the client wishes to resume the project.
6. Publishing and Marketing Results
Book Publishing Assistant UK provides professional publishing, design, distribution, and marketing support.
However, we do not guarantee:
- Acceptance by any publishing or distribution platform.
- Book sales or commercial success.
- Bestseller status.
- Search rankings or platform visibility.
- Marketing performance or advertising results.
- Reviews, ratings, media coverage, or reader engagement.
Publishing success depends on numerous external factors beyond our control. Accordingly, refunds will not be granted solely because expected commercial or marketing results were not achieved.
7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you have any concerns regarding your project or payment, we encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
Where a dispute is raised, we reserve the right to provide contracts, approvals, project files, correspondence, invoices, revision history, and other supporting documentation to payment processors, financial institutions, or dispute resolution providers.
8. Approved Refunds
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be issued using the original payment method.
Processing times will depend on your payment provider or financial institution and are outside our control.
9. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable UK consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
10. Changes to This Refund Policy
We reserve the right to amend this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be published on this page together with the updated effective date.
